Editorial Admin Panel

2026Production

A content workstation for the editorial team: a visual editor for articles, a drag-and-drop scheme builder, SEO help with an AI draft, and social graphics generated from the design templates.

Overview

Editors run the magazine from one panel: rich-text writing, scheme drawing, media, categories, subscribers and newsletters, the inbox and user accounts. The dashboard shows views over time, top articles, new messages and what is scheduled to go live. Two features set it apart: a scheme editor where cards are dragged into place and connected by pulling a handle onto another card, and a graphics generator that turns any article, event or episode into ready-to-post images for Instagram, Threads, Telegram, X, Facebook, VK and YouTube.

Challenge & approach

The aim was to let non-technical editors fill the whole site safely and quickly:

  • Writing safely — A WYSIWYG editor (TipTap) for quotes, footnotes, figures, podcast links and Q&A blocks, with pasted HTML cleaned at three levels: in the editor, in the API and on the site.

  • Schemes — A visual editor for free, hierarchy and timeline diagrams with an inspector, snap-to-grid and undo for deletions; timeline cards are ordered in a list and dated.

  • Search and social — A live search-result preview with length checks, a button that drafts the title, description and alt text with AI for the editor to review, and a generator with 8 templates and 12 sizes, story safe zones and ZIP export. It was verified against all 19 artboards of the design by pixel comparison.

  • Control and scheduling — Pinned materials and item counts for homepage blocks, an interface-text page with search, section switches, scheduled articles and newsletters with a queue on the dashboard, and a “forgot password” flow.

  • Quality — Server-side paging and search in every list, loading, empty and error states throughout, lazy-loaded routes, 226 tests.
