Portfolio Site with Blog

2026Production

A server-rendered portfolio and blog where every visible text is editable, and the owner edits copy right on the page.

Portfolio Site with Blog

Overview

The site presents services with prices, a filterable project portfolio with case pages, work experience, a blog with category and tag archives, a newsletter sign-up and a contact form. A chat widget connects visitors to the AI assistant or to the owner in real time. The site comes in three languages: English, French and Italian. Sections follow the CMS feature flags and the homepage block order set in the admin. Signed in as admin, the owner sees a pencil next to editable texts and changes them inline. The real protection stays on the API.

Challenge & approach

The goal was a site that always matches the CMS, ranks well and doesn’t break when content or services change:

  • Always current — Every request skips the cache, and saving in the CMS or inline revalidates the page, so changes show up at once without a rebuild.

  • SEO — Per-page metadata, canonical URLs, a generated Open Graph image, sitemap and robots. JSON-LD for blog posts, services with offers and prices, the person, collection pages and FAQ. Old /articles, /news and /podcasts addresses are permanently redirected to one canonical /blog/<slug>. Project URLs are slugs built from the title.

  • Resilience — A global error boundary, noindex utility pages (unsubscribe, admin login), and the chat widget loads lazily so it never blocks the first paint.

  • Architecture — Feature-Sliced Design adapted to the App Router (views, widgets, features, entities, shared). Route files stay thin, and a shared component registry keeps duplicates out.
